Seeing good day

Bear with me a minute and let me give you a little background. Chuck's birthday was today and he turned 30 (I know some of you are thinking that's really young still, but that's not the point of this post, so stay with me)... ;)
I have been lying to him for months now. I planned a surprise birthday party for him and a surprise trip for a group of our friends. Hence all the lying. I found out two things in this process: 1) I am a horrible liar, 2) it's hard to lie. The second one caught me by surprise. I thought it was easy to lie. I mean people do it all the time, right?
In 1 Peter 3:10, God says, "Whoever would love life and see good days must keep his tongue from evil and his lips from deceitful speech". OUCH!
It is much easier to tell the truth than it is to lie. It also helps your relationships, whether that is a marriage, a family, or a friend relationship. And it definitely helps your relationship with God. Oh, and it also helps you to "see good days".
So, what about it ladies? Do we want to see good days? Then we have to be truthful, with God and with each other. Let's start this week.
